Sports Academies
We offer sports academies to further educational establishments and also to gifted and talented
children of a younger age. Academies are aimed at elite performers within their sport.
Students are placed through a professional training course varying form 4 to 8 hours per week.
These sessions cover technical assessment, tactics, mental approaches, fitness and nutrition,
and match analysis.
Level 3 coaches run academy sessions and matches and have access to the newest of technology
in video analysis, SAQ fitness and technical modification.
Sessions are held during allocated timetable slots or during the evenings.
We now intend to expand our academies to the 12 to 16 age range. During this stage of a sports
person?s life, technical improvements, gaining knowledge of competition, and preparing students
physically is crucial and we would like to be an integral part of enhancing this process. We
believe the best way to achieve this is through the education system. Academies aim to improve
pupils to District and County levels. Using our coaches involvements with local governing bodies
students will be encouraged towards trialling for representative sport, in turn increasing the
public?s awareness of our and your efforts as a school/college with a sporting focus. Our current
employers see an increase in attendance because of interest in our academies.
Our academies are intense and aimed at producing elite players. The 6 week cricket session framework you can view by clicking here is an example of our academy sessions and shows the depth the course covers.
